The First Step—Corporate Scruples

Gujarat Pesticides is a Company responsible for scrupulously maintaining a pollution free environment at its Plant at Naroda, only 20 kms from Ahmedabad, India. In manufacturing agro-chemicals, especially the insecticides, fungicides, and weedicides, GP accords the highest priority to the environment.

The chemicals are indispensable for eliminating irritants and obstacles to a successful and high yield of agro-produce. Nonetheless, Gujarat Pesticides believes in securing [bottling and canning] chemicals against leakage, and instructs on the singular, specific use only in or at the area of application. Towards pollution control, Gujarat Pesticides conforms to all statutory GPCB Control norms.

Inspectors, who are qualified scientists, maintain a rigorous, documented routine of monitoring and eliminating spills, waste and effluents that can be occasional occurrences. The chemists neutralise any degree of unused chemical and residue to an innocuous, aqueous solution before it is drained into sewage.

A Versatile Product Mix:GP Brands & markets

Gujarat Pesticides markets its products under MOLRAKSHAK (meaning CROP PROTECTOR) Brand. The Company has to its credit ISI-marks on PHORATE 10 CG, MONOCROTOPHOS 36 SL, QUINALPHUS 25 EC, CHLORPYRIPHOS 20 EC and METHYL PARATHION 2 DP.

Gujarat Pesticides' marketing activities encompass Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, and Gujarat. It is gradually improving its market share and presence in many states and consolidating its base in the home state of Gujarat.

Gujarat Pesticides expects to introduce new products such as Triazophos, Profenophos, Hexaconazole, Atrazine, Ethion, Carbousulfan to enhance the product range of Gujarat Pesticides very shortly.

QC Measures & Lab

A fully equipped laboratory with the most modern equipments complement the operations of an experienced production-in-charge, Chemists, a Quality Controller, and Lab assistants whose efforts ensure the best quality in all products. Among the quality precision instruments for the finalisation of every product are Electronic Balances, Constant Heating Water Bath, stirring 1 ML capacity, Shiver Shaker for Shiver testing, Automatic titration Burette, GLC Instrument, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Flash point, Karlifisher Titrator etc.

There is also a Flame Proof Liquid plant and gas remove blower system having capacity of 4000 ltr. per day. The stainless steel Vessel, Automatic filling machine, Automatic Shrink Cap machine, Cap sealing machine, process pump complete the growing list of testing and other equipment.

Plant, Production & Capacity

For the last financial year Gujarat Pesticides produced an aggregate of 200,000 ltr. and plans to exceed 300,000 ltr. in the next financial period. GP’s Granulation plant has production Capacity 20 MT. per day. In addition, there is a 1.5 MT. Booth mixer, Automatic technical spray pump, Automatic Weighing Scale, Automatic charging belt for granules, storage hopper and sealing packing Machine as per ISI Specification.

Gujarat Pesticides’s Pulveriser plant has capacity of 20 MT. per day as well as a Blender plant with a capacity of 24 MT. per day. The total dust product capacity is 44 MT. per day. The same is of Wettable Powder.

In this respect, for the last financial year Gujarat Pesticides made a production turnover of 100,000 k.ltr. and aims to make 150,000 k.ltr. in the next financial period. Gujarat Pesticides’ products satisfy all the reputed farmers—our clients.
